Времена английского глагола: практическое руководство

Времена показывают, когда происходит действие и как говорящий его представляет: как привычку, процесс, результат или связь между моментами времени. Grammar guide.

Время и вид

Сначала определите точку отсчёта и характер действия. Simple передаёт факт, continuous — процесс, perfect связывает два момента, perfect continuous подчёркивает длительность.

Настоящее, прошедшее и будущее

Present simple: "I study English every weekday." Present continuous: "I am reviewing verb tenses now." Present perfect: "I have studied English since January." Past simple описывает завершённое прошлое, а past continuous — процесс в прошлом.

Как говорить о будущем

"will" используется для мгновенных решений, обещаний и мнений; "going to" — для планов и прогнозов с явными основаниями: "I will help you." / "I am going to study tonight.".

Говорите "I am studying now." о текущем действии, "I have lived here since January." о продолжающейся ситуации и "I visited the museum yesterday." о завершённом времени.
