“Right” y “write” suenan igual, pero “right” puede significar correcto y “write” significa escribir.

"There," "Their," y "They're"

“There” se refiere a un lugar o a existencia; “their” indica posesión; “they’re” significa “they are”.

  • "There are 2 students outside."
  • "Their books are on the table."
  • "They're ready for class."

"To," "Too," y "Two"

“To” aparece en infinitivos y direcciones; “too” significa también o demasiado; “two” es el número 2.

"Your" y "You're"

“Your” es posesivo. “You’re” es la contracción de “you are”. Prueba expandir la forma: si “you are” funciona, usa “you’re”.

"Its" y "It's"

“Its” es posesivo. “It’s” significa “it is” o “it has”. "It's raining" no puede escribirse "Its raining."

"Right" y "Write"

“Write” es producir texto: "Write your answer here."

"Hear" y "Here"

“Hear” es oír; “here” indica lugar. "I can hear music here." contiene ambas palabras.

"Piece" y "Peace"

"Meet" y "Meat"

“Meet” significa encontrarse; “meat” es carne. "We will meet after lunch." usa el verbo, no el alimento.

"Buy," "By," y "Bye"

"Weather" y "Whether"

“Weather” es el clima. “Whether” introduce una alternativa o una duda: "I do not know whether it will rain."

"Than" y "Then"

“Than” se usa en comparaciones; “then” se refiere al tiempo o a la consecuencia. "Study first, then take the test."

"Accept" y "Except"

“Accept” significa aceptar. “Except” significa excepto o excluir.

Practica “one/won”, “know/no”, “new/knew”, “week/weak” y “sea/see”.

Revisa contracciones, posesivos y comparativos.

¿Cómo recuerdo "their," "there" y "they're"?

Identifica primero posesión, lugar/existencia o la contracción “they are”.
